EGSS Student Speaker Series last week of February
Looking for the opportunity to present your research and gain feedback? EGSS invites all Faculty of Education Graduate students and Post-Doctoral Fellows to present their research at the Student Speaker Series held in the Winter semester.
Presentations can be in the form of a research proposal, ongoing work, or completed papers. This opportunity is open to all EGSS members.
All presenters also will receive valuable feedback for upcoming conference presentations. In addition, monetary awards will be available for the best presentations in Master’s and Doctoral/PostDoc Categories. This award is designed to promote student research and bolster your academic CV as a peer-reviewed, invited presentation.
Presentation formats:
Traditional Oral: 10 minutes with 5 minutes for questions.
Digital Poster: 10 minutes with 5 minutes for questions. Bring a digital copy of your poster, no printing required!
Interested students must submit a completed application by February 15th at noon to egss@mail.mcgill.ca.
Email Subject Line: LAST NAME, First Name- Speaker Series 2017.
A completed application includes:
General Info (name, department, program, requested format: traditional oral presentation or digital poster)
500 word (maximum) abstract describing the research with Background/Aims, Methods, Results (if applicable) and Discussion/Implications sections.
Abstracts will be judged based on quality and significance of proposed research.
