The documentary is based on a study which spans eight Latin American countries and analyzes unconventional educational experiences such as Popular Education, Montessori, Waldorf, and Homeschooling. It closely examines the logic of modern schooling and its understanding of education.
Released in 2012, The FORBIDDEN EDUCATION is divided into 10 thematic episodes, each presenting a different aspect of education, questioning authority and power in schools, evaluation and segregation of students, and the social function of educational institutions.
